China Suppliers Drum Flaker Cooling Crystallization Machine - Factory-Made Heating Slicer for Efficient Production

The drum forming machine is a sophisticated cooling crystallization system widely utilized in various industries. This innovative equipment allows molten material, placed in the material tray, to interact with a cooled drum. As the material film forms on the drum's surface, it undergoes an effective heat exchange with the strand wall, leading to cooling and crystallization. The crystallized material film is then efficiently scraped off by a scraper, resulting in high-quality sheet-like products. As a leading supplier in China, our factory is dedicated to providing top-notch drum forming machines to meet your industrial needs

Working principle

Drum Forming Machine

A cooling crystallization process where molten material in the tray contacts the cooled drum, forming a film on its surface. Through heat exchange with the strand wall, the film cools, crystallizes, and is scraped off by a scraper to form sheet-like products.

Drum Drying

A continuous process of heating and drying materials attached to the outer wall of the drum or strip materials through a rotating drum and heat transfer.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How does a drum forming machine work?
The drum forming machine operates on a cooling crystallization process. Molten material in the tray contacts a cooled rotating drum to form a thin film on its surface. As heat transfers through the drum wall, the film cools and crystallizes, which is then scraped off by a scraper to produce sheet-like products.
What is the difference between drum forming and drum drying?
Drum forming focuses on cooling and crystallization to convert molten liquids into solid sheets or flakes. Drum drying is a continuous thermal process where heat transfer through the rotating drum is used to evaporate moisture and dry materials attached to the outer wall.
What materials can be processed for nodule formation?
It is suitable for polymers (such as petroleum resins and polyethylene oligomers), organic chemicals (like phthalic anhydride, maleic anhydride, and bisphenol), and inorganic chemicals (including caustic soda, sulfurized alkali, and sodium hydrosulfide).
Can this equipment handle both slicing and drying?
Yes, the equipment is multi-functional and highly adaptable, making it fully capable of performing both slicing (crystallization flaking) and thermal drying operations.
How is the speed of the drum controlled?
The equipment is designed with a continuously variable speed control system, allowing operators to adjust the drum rotation speed (typically within 3-15 r/min) depending on the material properties and process requirements.
What safety features are integrated into the machine?
The machine features a half tube jacket type material tray for safe and reliable operations, along with a side scraper design that prevents material accumulation on the sides of the drum.
