China Suppliers Factory Drum Flaker for Cooling Crystallization and Heating Slicing of Materials
Working principle
Drum Forming Process
The drum forming machine is a cooling crystallization process, in which the molten material in the material tray comes into contact with the cooled drum, forming a material film on the surface of the drum. Through heat exchange between the material film and the strand wall, the material film cools and crystallizes, and the crystallized material film is scraped off by a scraper to form a sheet-like product.
Drum Drying Process
Drum drying is a continuous process of heating and drying materials attached to the outer wall of the drum or strip materials through a rotating drum and heat transfer.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the working principle of the drum forming machine?
It operates on a cooling crystallization process. Molten material in the tray contacts a cooled rotating drum to form a thin film. Heat transfer through the drum wall cools and crystallizes the film, which is then scraped off to produce sheet-like products.
What materials can be processed for nodule formation?
It is highly adaptable for polymer products (polyethylene oligomers, petroleum resins), organic chemicals (phthalic anhydride, maleic anhydride, naphthalene, bisphenol), and inorganic chemicals (sulfurized alkali, caustic soda, sodium hydrosulfide).
Can this equipment perform both slicing and drying?
Yes, the machine is multi-functional and engineered to support both continuous slicing (nodule formation) and drying operations depending on configuration.
What are the core design features that prevent material accumulation?
The machine is equipped with a dedicated side scraper and multiple adjustable scraper sets to prevent material buildup on the edges and sides of the drum.
How does the cooling system work?
It utilizes an advanced atomization cooling method within a half-tube jacket type material tray, providing highly uniform and efficient heat exchange.
