China Suppliers Factory Drum Flaker for Cooling Crystallization Process – High-Quality Slicer and Drum Forming Machine
Working Principle
Cooling Crystallization Process
The drum forming machine is a cooling crystallization process, in which the molten material in the material tray comes into contact with the cooled drum, forming a material film on the surface of the drum. Through heat exchange between the material film and the strand wall, the material film cools and crystallizes, and the crystallized material film is scraped off by a scraper to form a sheet-like product.
Drum Drying Process
Drum drying is a continuous process of heating and drying materials attached to the outer wall of the drum or strip materials through a rotating drum and heat transfer.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the working principle of a drum forming machine?
It is a cooling crystallization process where molten material in a tray contacts a cooled rotating drum. This forms a material film on the drum's surface. Through heat exchange, the film cools and crystallizes, and is then scraped off by a scraper to form sheet-like products.
What is the difference between drum forming and drum drying?
Drum forming focuses on cooling and crystallization to produce solid flakes/sheets from molten material. Drum drying is a continuous heating and drying process that removes moisture or solvents from materials attached to the outer wall of the rotating drum.
What materials are suitable for the nodule formation process?
It is highly suitable for polymer products (like polyethylene oligomers and petroleum resins), organic chemicals (like phthalic anhydride, maleic anhydride, and bisphenol), and inorganic chemicals (like sulfurized alkali, caustic soda, and sodium hydrosulfide).
What are the primary drying applications for this equipment?
This equipment is designed to dry slurry dyes (such as hydrogen sulfide and sulfur element), inorganic solutions (like sodium dihydrogen carbonate, sodium sulfate, and magnesium chloride), and food solutions (such as skim milk and milk).
How does the equipment prevent material accumulation on the sides?
The equipment is specifically designed with a side scraper that continuously clears the edges, effectively avoiding any material accumulation on the side of the drum.
Is the drum rotation speed adjustable?
Yes, the equipment features a continuously variable speed control system, allowing the drum speed to be flexibly adjusted between 3 to 15 r/min depending on the specific model and process requirements.
